Biography: Dr. Muath Abbakr is a dedicated Sudanese clinician and Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery at Queen’s Hospital, London. With a strong background in neurosurgery, trauma, orthopaedics, and acute care, he brings comprehensive surgical expertise and a commitment to patient safety and teamwork.
After earning his MBBS in Sudan, he completed a 12-month internship and gained over two years of experience in Neurosurgery and Trauma & Orthopaedics, actively managing emergencies, assisting in theatres, and supporting peri- and postoperative care.
GMC-registered with a full licence to practise, Dr. Abbakr has completed the MRCS exams and holds ALS certification. He has contributed to audits on surgical site infections and co-authored publications on vertebral artery anomalies and Chiari I malformation.
